I have been very inspired for many years by the beauty, construction and diversity of lettering/type. I remember growing up being gently encouraged by my Mum to develop my handwriting to which I am very grateful for as it also developed my appreciation for the craftsmanship that is embedded into the history of lettering. There is power in our words and also in how they are written, but it is the content that has the largest influence. All this to say… I am developing my own appreciation and skills in this area and have just completed a custom piece for a close friend ‘Laura Osburn’ – a brilliant musician and lover of life.
